A few days ago, as I have done a quite few times in the past, I connected to the computer and updated my mapshare - nothing else. My device has always connected automatically after being prompted on its screen.
Today no connection - nothing - not even shown on Windows Explorer as being connected. There have been no changes to anything at all. The charging light is on when the USB lead is plugged in.
Any clues????

Try a reset on the unit.

No reset button on device but I believe that there is something to do with the on/off button.
Can you help?

In that case, hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.

You shouldn't loose them just from a reset. In any case, it's best to make your own backups. See #1 on the FAQ page.
