Hi M8s

I'm looking for two features I've gotten used to from my Quest 2 on my new nüvi 765T. I've got the unit for a month now, it's got the most current software installed (3.60). But perhaps I simply can't find them?

One of them is the screen showing which satellites it has a lock on and what signal quality they have. I've found an image on a web site (it's in german, but anyway: Reception/Precision screen. Where can I find that?

The other feature I'm searching is from the avoidance section. I found the possibility to turn of gravel roads, TMC, toll roads and the like. But I can't find any possibility to manually enter some road sections or areas to avoid. This is very helpful if you need to avoid certain roads in your neighbourhood or even some parts of a city as a whole region. Has this been removed from the software?

Cheers

Hold your finger down on the satellite bars at the top left of the screen for a few seconds.

You can't I'm afraid. This has never been an option on the Nuvis and is much missed...

Thanks Paul, didn't know that, works great! Is there a list of such hidden functions? I went though the manual but could not find that one...

Sad, I miss that feature...!

BTW: Another hidden feature I just found by googling a bit: put your finger on the battery bar and just wait. Gets you into some factory/test mode. Didn't play much there, just moved through the screens...

Paul, some nuvi's do offer that feature. Any of the linux-based models such as the nuvi 5000 or the 8x5 series. Allows you to avoid a specific road, or to define an entire rectangular area to avoid.

Ah so only the newest models offer it then. Hence i haven't seen it. I'll have to download the manuals and have a look then.

Thanks.
