Cant get going with poi edit

Hi Dave
Can i get little direction please, I have down loaded poi edit 3.2 and gone thru the setup, selected the ov2s i wanted form the list for the uk, my ipaq2210 is in th ecradle and active sync is running, all seems ok. But when i get to "auto update now" on Desktop pc, of poi edit, i get :

Cannot retrieve online file information http://wwww.pocketgpsworld.com/poisync/pockgps.xml) because of following error: Can't resolve hostname to ip address.

Its not the internet options proxy sever settings which followed form the FAQ help page and they are unchecked Sad

Any chance of a stp by step idiots giide to get this to work please?

In which case if you have proxy disabled and not set to autodetect, or any proxy server name added in IE, then the only other issue is going to be an over zealous firewall on your PC or a hardware one on your internet connection.

If i've got it right and not coincidence, then i think that because both my cable conection and my ipaq are connected to the deck pc via usb's in seperate sockets it appears that i cannot get an internet connection and a active siync to the Pocket pc simulataneouly. As soon as i terminat one i can start to get the other but not at the same time. Any ideas how to resolve this? is it just some check boxes somewhere i need to click/unclick?
