I have garmin streetpilot i3 + sd card 8gb. And I have downloaded and unlocked "Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2009" in mapsource.
When I try to send map to device following error pops up:
"your gps does not support map transfer"
Can somebody help. |

Hi, Have you successfuly used the 8gb card with the I3 previously? I had an I3 awhile ago and I seem to remember it would only work with cards up to 2gb, there is little or no internal memory in the I3 so if it does not see the card this could be the problem. |

Yes, if you are using an 8GB micro card then it must be an SDHC card and only SD cards will work properly in the i3. Unfortunately SD cards are limited to 2GB (although 4GB SD cards can still be obtained these are not in micro form). However 2GB seems to be more than sufficient for any purpose for which you can use the i3 for. At least that is what I find with my i3. |

The i3 can only use cards upto 2GB. The card needs to be a standard micro sd card. The i3 cannot use SDHC cards. |
