Having trouble with downloading some POI's for some reason. I used to get them downloaded ok but now all I get from the Zip file is one ov2 file and no bitmaps. When I drop them into my map folder, they do not show up as a loaded POI. Any ideas would be helpfull.......Thanks. |

Hi Oscargrouch,
Would it be possible for you to give some further information that would assist in diagnosing the issue? For example, what device do you have, which map, which firmware version?
Which POIs were you trying to add to the device?
If you device s a TT 520, I can perhaps try downloading the same POIs for you and advise the result.
Anything would be helpful, I assure you.
Cheers and Happy New Year. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Thanks for the speedy reply Richard345,
The POI I was trying to install was the OV2 version of Supermarkets (other) and just the set for the Go Outdoors shops. I have downloaded others before, like Tesco, Sainsbury's etc. all worked fine. But now, even if I try and download them again I still only have the OV2 files. If I try to open them with winzip it says that they are incomplete; suggest re-downloading. If I use winrar then that unzips ok; but just one file....which does not show up when I try and edit POI to associate them with any sounds |

I hae just downloaded the latest speed cams, they unzipped fine, but still cannot get the POI's to unzip properly. I appreciate that it is not the PGPS site, but cannot understand why my PC will not accept the files |

On the download page, could you try ticking the "show link" box. This will create a separate link to use.
BTW what browser, AV and firewall are you using? |

Thanks Mullet,
Although the zip file will open, it opens as a POI's file. rather than a ov2 and Bitmap; which I used to get. The browser is IE and the AV is Bullguard. Neither of these have changed at all in the last 12 months.
Thanks for the help, will try ticking the 'show link' box and let you know.. Smileys work then !! |

I would have been happy enough with the bronze.
Best guess IE is the culprit with something switched off.
Pleased you got sorted, continue having a gud un, Colin. |
