I've always wondered this. Am I the only person who wishes you could add Clear Route to the Quick menu on my TT720, as I often have it on, then want to clear the route prior to arrival or, indeed, clear it having driven past the destination for parking etc?
It just bugs me that it needs about 5-6 screen pushes to cancel a route yet is something I seem to do more often than most other commands...
Or is it me being a muppet or weird or...
Thanks

You can't add it to the Quickmenu at present, and it's not something you can change yourself. You'd have to campaign to get TomTom to add it.
I make it five screen-taps on a Go (tap screen/forward arrow/forward arrow/clear route/confirm "yes").
You could always add a custom menu to your Go so it appears on page 1 of the main menu (then it would be three taps), but you wouldn't have access to the Help me and Map corrections menus unless you took it off again when you needed them.
However, they've actually taken "Clear route" off the menus completely on the latest 'Ones' and it's now at the bottom of the route summary page.
So you can clear your route in three taps (tap status bar / Clear route / confirm "yes") which I reckon would be the same as doing it from the Quickmenu (tap/ /select /confirm). |

Hi mightyyid, by using Andy_P's advice previously I have managed to get the "Clear Route" icon to the main menu page using a 3rd party app. called "TomTom Menu Designer" which is at gregoryduncan.com .
My TT is a GO730 using NavCore 8.351 and it works fine apart from not having the full choice of other TT icons available as Andy_P has already mentioned.
You will have to crate a new folder to store on the Root of your TT or SD card, so if you do try it out, REMEMBER to do a FULL Win Explorer back up first. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
