For information:-
SPECS cameras on the approach (North to South), and ON the bridge of the Dartford Crossing are currently inoperative.
The "Average Speed Cameras" warning signs have actually been annotated with "Camera not working", and also the pictogram signs (those which we know all too well, showing an image of our beloved speed cameras) have been greyed out, in as much as painted over, so the camera and text is not visible. This has been done professionally (one would guess) as opposed to graffitti.
Normal 50mph (red circle white background) are still displayed over the bridge.
This is same on EXIT from the bridge, with signs greyed out.
Database still warns of "Warning, this is an average speed camera zone".
Also, on approach to the tunnel (SOUTH to NORTH) there IS a warning of SPECS (in a 60mph zone) and ONE SPECS camera (tucked between two overhead gantries). The zone then becomes 50mph, and the next (the second camera which is within the 50mph zone, so how do they work an average in a 60 and 50 zone?) is shown as "Camera not in use".
