TomTom Go 540 Date Problem.....

.....I have just bought the 540 Go & love it, especially the live services, great stuff.

The one problem I do have is with the 'Prepare Route', when I want to enter a 'Specific Date & Time' to start my journey it always comes up with the date Thursday 1st January 1970 in the 'Specify Departure Date window

I know how to change the time on the TomTom, is there a way of changing the date because surely the 'Specific Date & Time' should be today's date???

Without a GPS fix the device displays a default value which is the same as the one you mention, so my guess is you didn't have a position fix, take it outside (unless its raining/ thunder etc) and switch it on, once it knows where it is see what time/ date is displayed on the route planning screen - Mike
