Navigator 6 - terrible performance navigating to contact

I am running Navigator 6 on a Palm Treo 800w. It works fine, with one notable exception: when I try to select a contact to navigate to (out of my phone's contact database), performance searching the contacts is absolutely horrible. I get to the "Select a contact" screen fine. But once there, every key I press takes a full 5 seconds before the system reacts.

For example, if I am typing in the name "Smith", I type "s", wait 5 seconds, and get to the "s" section of my address book ... then type in "m", wait 5 seconds, and get to the "sm" section ... etc.

Once I finally select a contact, everything else works fine.

Has anyone else observed this behavior?

Hi, I am also using version6 on a Mio P350. When I first got it, I thought I'd give it a try. I found it to be such a pain that I gave up pretty quickly and haven't bothered with it since. To be honest, I can't say that I've missed it. I tend to save what I need as "favourites" and that does me.
