Nuvi 5000 street names

I have a Street Pilot 7200 and it does not display the surrounding street names. I want to buy a Nuvi 5000 but cannot seem to find out if it displayes the surrounding street names like my old Street Pilot 2610. Anyone knows?

All the Garmins should show surrounding street names if zoomed in enough. Have you seen my suggestion about updating the firmware in your other thread? Note: the names will disappear once zoomed out a bit.

Thanks for the info. I guess I am just not happy with the way they present the picture. I am going to look at other units.

Map detail setting will also make a big difference. Not a lot of devices outside of the Garmin's let you adjust that.
