Clip-on - Linked but no blue light

What I've got:
2210, ROM 1.10
Clip on, arrived today
TT3 installed from CD.

This is what happens:
Fire up the Fortuna, it gets a fix. Two green lights.
Go to BT manager and pair up the iPAQ and GPS. iPAQ shows a connection but no blue lights on the GPS. Check fix and I can see satalites - fire up TT3 and it knows where I am.

The real problem:
No blue light is one thing but if I move the Clip-on more than about 6 inches from my iPAQ it loses the connection. Bluetooth has a better range than that!!!

Is my Clip-on a dud? Any help is appreciated...

It's DOA.

I called the store today and got an RMA for it....

these htings are so fragile, i've just bought a new one and refunded old one, because it wouldn't pick up any sats.

i don't want to try this new one in case it breaks.
