Icon Problems

Anyone any ideas why when i upload the free points of interest and speed camera database from the site it wipes out my speed camera database icons replacing them with just a grey dot ? Garmin nuvi 660.

Any help appreciated.

Hi and welcome.

This happens when you add too many categories of POIs to your unit. Usualy 256 or more. Reduce the number of categories you are loading and the grey dots won't occur.

Thanks very much for the replies - Actually worked out another 'fix':

Uploaded camera database POI directly to unit.
Saved POI file to SD card.
Unit detects new POIs when card inserted and asks if want to install.
Selected 'No' and 'Don't ask me again'.

Unit reads both and displays as it should.
