New Maps - how to keep speed cam warnings?

I see TomTom have released a new map for the GO. Last time I updated I lost all my favourites and whatnot. I see people saying that this can be dealt with by backing up mapsettings.cfg and copying it over after updating. Does this file also contain warning distances for the speedcams or will I have to manually set them all up again?

I went throught the same thing - copied over the .cfg file, but I still had to manually change the warning distances for the speedcams. So it seems that the file only carries over my favourites.

I'm sure that one of the more experienced members can give you a more accurate answer, though

It details how to convert your favourites into a Custom POI group. If you use the PC version of HOME jurowla has supplied a solution to copying across an existing mapsettings.cfg file to a new map that resolves the issue that often prevents this from working.
