Is there a Difference between 8.30 and 2 GB 8.30

Does anyone know for sure if there is any difference in the details between the (8.30 W/C Europe) and (the 2GB W/C Europe.)

Or is this just a difference in the way they are compressed the file ??

I posted this question in another thread but I believe I got lost in the shuffle my apologizes for posting twice!!

I felt this might be better as it's own thread.

It's not just compression, basic data is the same but some detail like urban areas, woods, rivers etc will have been more heavily optimised and in some areas omitted in order to reduce the file size.

Also fewer (if any) 3d buildings, and possibly less "curvy" bends.

I say 'possibly' because they have already made all the roads less curvy (i.e. made up of fewer straight line sections) on ALL the maps, so they might not be able to do it even more on the '2GB' and '1GB' versions.

TT had put the 2 GB 8.30 W/C map in my file by mistake and when I called back to tell them this the support rep I was talking to told me that there was no difference just the way the they were compressed.

Yet on the Map site the description between the two is somewhat different.

So that is why I wanted a second opinion.

I called back this am talked to a different rep and they have now added the other verson.
