Hi everyone just a short not to say a big thanks to Satmap, I went walking in Ireland at the begginig of this month so I contacted Satmap about mapping for Ireland, they told me they had it but it was still being tested, but still sent me there Sd card of the all of Ireland at 150k, and it did come in handy whilst there. Also there costumer service department was very friendly and helpful and I would just like to say thank you for all there help.

Just bought the complete Republic of Ireland which Satmap has just released. I thought (naively) that the Irish Grid position display format would magically appear in the list of GPS settings once the SD card was inserted. No it didn't - apparently that's coming soon in a future software upgrade, in the meantime I understand a note is to be be posted by the web developer to include in the description of the ROI maps, that the Irish Grid will not be available until the next software release.

I go to Ireland at the end of the week, so the map will still be useful getting around, despite the lack of Irish Grid refs. I have converted all my location details (grid refs of castles which I photograph) to Lat. long. and packed my trusty Etrex as well which does have the Irish Grid system on it, so I can at least record Waypoints/POIs in that format.
