Before i start i never use it on the battery,Its allways plugged into the car,But i have noticed when i have it sitting on the desk the battery goes down quite quick,If i fully charge it up at night then turn it on in the morning you see the battery has gone down a bit.
My go300 is very good,You can have it in sleep mode for a long time before you will see the battery level go down a bit,I would say the reason the 300 is better is due to the size,But i cant belive the 720 should loose some of its charge over night? |

Even when the device is switched off it is really only half asleep, it will use a small amount of power when its off, you can turn it off fully by pressing the reset button, but I wouldn't bother doing this unless I was putting a device away and not intending using it for a few months.
The last time I used my 720 in a hire car without a ciggy socket to charge the device I got 42 minutes from the battery before it died - Mike |

Yes i read about the times when its being used on the battery,But surely it shouldn't run down fast if its sitting on my table doing nothing. |

Mike,
Yes but how long before the voice packed up on latest software release?
And didn't you say it's a device you should always run on a ciggie lighter?
(stands back.....waits for man to light blue touch paper.....watches firework display....) :-)

This was about 18 months ago, so the lost voice issue hadn't been invented back then
I do indeed always use the charger but on the above occasion the hire car socket was faulty, since then I have refused to take a hire car if the socket isn't working and I drive hire vehicles at least three times per month - Mike |
