Power save and screen turning on

Hi there,

I am new here, but a Satmap user since a couple of months now.

After using the Satmap on local walks and on the mountainbike with downloaded routes and self created routes I started playing in Luxemburg last week with the powersave.
As Luxemburg not has maps yet I used it for the speed etc on my mountainbike as I don't have a normal cycle computer anymore. Also I recorded some nice tracks that we rode so I can ride them again. So I turned on the powersave mode and turned the screen off after 30 seconds. That works very well and it saves the battery very well.

But is it normal that the screen becomes white so often with a beep? Is there a reason for it? because it worked a bit on my nerves to be honest. Is it to let the user know that the unit is still on?
Also is it normal that the unit in the powersave mode shuts down? I had that twice happening on me, I never had that before when the screen was always on.

Hope that above makes some sense.

Welcome to the forum, go to power settings and deselect the warn if device still on I cannot remember the exact option name but there is a setting to turn this off - I remember being kept awake all night in a hotel by the damn thing bleeping and flashing while it was on charge! - Mike

The option Mike refers to is Settings/Power Control "Alert When Screen Off" change it to "Off"
