tomtom one help please

I have a tomtom one 3rd edition 512mb and it will not power on. It was used and then has been sitting in a box for about 6 months.

I go to plug it in and a dark green light shows on the top. I plug it in to a windows machine and the dark green light flashes 3 times and then says windows does nto recognize the devide.

When I try and charge it over night using a usb cable from a pc the green light just stays dark.

I have tried to re-set it more than once but nothing. Is there a battery that needs replacing.

It's quite common that if Windows doesn't recognise a USB device, then it can't be charged up through the PC.

Do you have a mains charger or a car charger with the device? Try to charge it up using this for a while before using it. Then see what happens and report back.
