|
|
I recently bought the TT GO740 LIVE I was sold the item on the understanding that the traffic device was built in to the unit also no subscription was required. Apparantly It has a free three month trial subscription I take it when the 3 month subscription runs out It just ceases to function. How do I get traffic facilities on it as I am loathed to pay £7.99 per month. Is there a cheaper model of TT as the 740 is quite an expensive item. A separate TMC is expensive.
If I changed to a Garmin unit which I understand has a better Traffic device "suggestions please" Can I transfer my Favourites files to it?
Any URGENT replies appreciated as I want to sort this out today.
Thank you |

You have a number of options.
1. Subscribe
2. Buy the accessory RDS-TMC Mount which gives you free traffic reception via FM. Not HD Traffic though.
3. Take it back and get a 730T that has RDS-TMC as part of the package.

Not better, still uses RDS-TMC and reception is a big issue for ALL devices suing this service here in the UK. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Not easily. You'd need to extract the contents using a utility called POIEdit and then save them as a .csv file for import into the Garmin.
It's possible but not a one click thing. _________________ Darren Griffin |
