Web Server for Geo-tagged Photos and Video
Red Hen Announces Release of MediaMapper Server – The World’s First Commercial Web Server for Managing Geo-tagged Multimedia
FORT COLLINS, Colorado — Red Hen Systems is pleased to announce the release of MediaMapper Server (MMS). Built on ESRI, Oracle and Red Hen patented geo-tagging technology, MediaMapper Server completes the Red Hen suite of “snap-map-share” geospatial multimedia hardware and software solutions. Now you can bring geo-tagged videos and photos from the field to subject matter experts and decision makers with ease.
Recently demonstrated at GIS in the Rockies, MediaMapper Server is a Web-based centralized publishing, storage, and distribution platform for geo-tagged digital still photos and videos.
With MediaMapper Server, geo-tagged photos and videos are quickly and easily uploaded to a server and organized into meaningful collections called MediaSets. Because GPS information is embedded within the imagery, photos and videos are automatically associated with locations on a map. Instantly update maps with photos and videos as they become available in the field, then pan across maps, zoom into locations of interest, and find up-to-date imagery for informed decision-making.
MediaMapper Server lets you view maps through a browser to discover “what is where” and “where is what.” Click any location on the map and immediately access all photos and videos that were taken at the location. Or, click any photo/video and see the location where it was taken on the map.
With MediaMapper Server there are no per-user licensing fees and you have the option of getting a turn-key solution with all server hardware and software included, or integrating the server with your existing ESRI hosting environment. MediaMapper Server also has a Work Group option so different departments can have their own secure work areas. Since the MediaMapper Server interface leverages Adobe’s Flash player, there are no cumbersome client-side software installs for end users.
Whether you’re comparing photos of endangered species breeding grounds from year to year, or examining aerial videos of pipelines or power lines … you can share maps, photos and videos with anyone, anytime, anywhere!
About Red Hen Systems: Since 1994, Red Hen Systems has been developing patented hardware and software for collecting geo-referenced video and photo data in the field, and bringing that data into mapping environments for improved decision-making. No matter what industry you work in, when it comes to multimedia data collection, viewing, and decision-making—we’ve got you covered!
