530 vs XL v2 is it worth spending the extra?

I've finally decided that the maps of my One New edition are old enough to warrant buying a newer unit (mainly brought on by being shown I'm driving through fields on the A14 near Bury St Edmonds)

So looking round I'll be after a wide screen unit, if only because it'll make the keyboard easy to use! I know that for my own use, I'll only need GB maps, I wont be using tomtom Traffic or any of the other Plus services, (mainly because i simply can't get the GPRS thingy to work, Orange say talk to Tomtom, Tomtom say talk to Orange and I'm left with a problem that i can't solve)

I don't need anything special, just an up to date set of maps, and a reasonably accurate GPS fix, so looking at the current line up it seems my current choices are either an XL v2 or a 530. Looking at the line up i find it difficult to find any killer feature that makes it worth spending the extra cash (almost £100) on the 530, so is there anything I've missed, that should make me look at the 530 again?

Also all the XL v2's seem to be stocked offering roadside assist, are there any versions on sale that don't offer this at a lower price, I'm in the RAC and have a better level of cover than this....
