Outdoors Magic have taken a first look at the 400t with OS mapping. Although not billed as a comparison with Satmap, it is that in effect. If you're after confirmation that you made the right purchase decision, read:-

I wonder if they were using the Garmin unit with the Beta software installed or not - this is known to improve the appearance of the map on screen.
I am more than happy with my active10, from the very first time I tried one (nearly two years ago at the NEC) it simply feels right, in use on the fells it will take some beating - Mike

It does say the latest firmware is installed.

Finally, the mapping itself is horribly blurry. Apparently this is down to the unit overlaying different mapping layers, but even with the latest software update installed, it's still not as clear as we'd like.

Depends when the article was written!

We have had no grey roads overlapping the OS maps since Firmware 2.85 on the 22nd January.

So the image [#4] was before Firmware 2.85 & 2.86
