Delayed start

Today I was in a hurry to start a walk. So unusually I set the A10 log to "start" when the accuracy of the plot was still shown at around 300ft, assuming it would soon settle down and that I could accept an error in the start point.

When I come to look at the plot of the walk it has not started recording until about 0.4 miles into the walk. It then looks decidedly odd for the next few hundred yards before settling down to the normal good plot.

Has this or anything similar happened to anyone else.

Just in case you are wondering if I miss pressed the "start" button - there is no way I could have pressed it at the point the plot now shows as the start.

An update - that will teach me to do my research first!

My comments were based on the .map file after conversion to .gpx

Having now studied the detailed .gpx from the A10 I see that the start was in the right place it just appears to have taken over 5 minutes to get a second point logged.

So now I have two issues. Why take so long to get the second point and why move the start point when saving the .map file.

Just in case anyone else is having a similar problem. This has happened to me again today.

Switched on before starting the walk. Seemed to have a good lock but I did not note the accuracy. Having finished and used Satsync to convert map to gpx I find that the walk starts about 200 yds from the car. However if I look at the detailed gpx file on the A10 is shows the start in the right place but no other data until the point shown as the start on the file converted from the ma file.

So I am wondering if this is an issue introduced by the latest Satsync upgrade or my not ensuring a good lock at the start of the walk.

If no one else has any comments then I will stop boring you with there posts.
