Can Someone out there please try and connect to the garmin server using WebUpdater and report back.
I ask because whenever I try to connect I keep getting an error message saying communication error or the garmin server is down.
All worked fine the other day when I updated my speed camera's.
Many Thanks. |

I've just tested it, and it seems fine now. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Hi M8s
Did anybody do an update with City Navigator Europe 2009 lately? I've bought the download version, first run it directly from the big archive, up to the point where it asks for the 8 digit code you get while purchasing the product. After entering it, it'll take a few seconds and then say: communication error to garmin-server.
As I did not get on with it, I've extracted the big archive manually into a directory and tried multiple times (running setup out of the windows directory as suggested by the readme included), yesterday and today, to get it going, but without success.
Any yes, I know that I can install Maspsource and the maps manually by running the MSI directly, but that won't install the maps onto my Quest 2, for that it needs to run the special update procedure to replace the built-in stuff, which is not the same as MapInstall. And that was always run by the install program, done this every year since v9.
What I did check is, that at all times, I can access my.garmin.com, I see my purchased map under myMaps - Manage Maps, including the code given during purchase and the 25 character unlock code.
Any ideas on how to get going?

Belkin routers (54G?) seem to have problems connecting to Garmin's site, I have to swap to my Linksys. There is a message in Belkin support about problems with some websites.
