This is built in - so the blurb says. Do I need any additional aerial to make this work please? There is a spare lead with a socket type plug in the box - says on the box this a traffic antenna.
Quite impressed with this unit - had one a few years ago and this is vastly improved.
Thanks
Doug

No you don't - it will work without the lead if reception is excellent. However, for most of us reception even with a lead is hard to come by, so it just depends on your location. This isn't a Navman issue - its a TMC issue with coverage and signal

Thank you very much, looking forward to using it in earnest on Sunday on a trip to London!
Everything about this S90i is a vast improvement on what I remember they used to be like. Impressed so far!
Quick question - have a free trial camera subscription with this but nothing says how long it is for? Any ideas please?
Doug

Hi Xtraseller,
I have put all the speed camera zoned files from here, loaded a sound file and on running the unit, got no warning. It seems to run okay as well.
Have I got away with it or am I due a nasty surprise?
Doug

Yeah, the S90i is a great unit and should guide you well!

The safety camera data is valid for 12 months from first activation, but doesn't come with free updates - so it will become more out of date as the unit ages. However, as it's strong point is fixed cameras, this isn't so much of an issue (i have found)

No real issues with putting POI cameras on the s90i, except it may ocassionally reset itself - if you have too many running, you will see it go unusably slow, so take some off (12,000 is the accepted limited, around 9,000 seems maximum for optimum performance)

Don't forget to register your unit on the Navman website before the end of the month, to get your FREE 2009 maps when they get released in June

Thanks again. How do I find out how many poi's I have with the Navman? I'll give it a run on Sunday and see what it does.
And the registration was the first thing I did and got me email of acknowledgement back.

The TMC coverage is still as dreadful as it was 3 or 4 years ago. Classic FM is the station (only station) it tunes into around Glasgow.

No coverage between there and (approx) Preston when heading down the motorways. About 140 miles or so with not one saussage of renewed messages. Rolling Eyes Amazing.

Garmin is no better!
