gps/ speed recorder on motorway

does anyone know what the white post's ,with what look like satalite dishes are on the M6 north bound from Preston.

How far North of Preston are these located? although its a few weeks since I have driven that section of motorway - Mike

Now if you had said South of Preston - well that's obvious, Jodrell Bank

Very likely they link the signals from cameras (monitoring cams, not speedcams).
