"partial_update" file

Sorry for starting a new topic but I have searched and can't find the thread I wanted. I'm sure I have seen advice from Mike Alder that you should not delete files called "partial_update" but I can remember doing exactly that because I thought (Obviously) that they were the remnants of an unsuccessful update.

I have looked through all 8 backups that I have kept and can't find the file in any of them so, are they important and, if they are, does anyone know where I might be able to get them from.

I think.......the latest version of Home (2.56) has the facility to carry on with an interrupted download rather than the user having to start all over.

So, I would think that if you do not have any files in the partial folder, it would indicated all your downloads have been successful and you should have no issues.

Thank you dhn. I certainly haven't noticed any problems. I have found a "partial update" folder with some files in HOME/Download using Explorer. But I haven't downloaded a map (or anything else) since the version of HOME that lets you resume a download.
