X40 USB Not recognised

Plugged my X40 into my PC today and its come up with "USB device not recognised". tried it in two other pc's all the same. Wheres the reset switch as on older models. Any ideas??

Press and hold the power on/ off switch until you hear the drum roll and the device re-boots - the on/ off switch now doubles as the reset switch - Mike

What would i do without this site. Tried it to start with but obviously didnt hold it down long enough.
