|
|
I have recently noticed that on my GO 730T, that there is a distinct line across the screen just below half way down separating the screen into a lighter shade at the bottom and a darker shade at the top.
I have changed the screen colours and this exists on whatever colour I choose for the map display.
If the screen is 56mm high, this (very faint) line dividing darker to the top and lighter to the bottom, is some 30mm from the bottom of the screen.
It is not a great distraction, but now I know it is there, I tend to focus on it.
I have attempted a screen dump of it, but it does not seem to show (at the moment) on the captured picture.
Anyone else have this _________________ Gee-Pee

You need to look closer at the display there are actually two horizontal lines that can be seen on the display, its part of the 3D perspective - Mike |

Presume it's not visible on the menu pages?
If not, it's not a screen fault. |

No, not visible on either menu pages or 2D, so I guess that Mike's explanation is right. _________________ Gee-Pee

The upper line is just below the side road off to the right, about 5MM distance on the image below.
The lower line is just below the tip of the blue current position triangle.
I bet you will see these lines for most of this afternoon now you know where they are! - Mike |

Sorry everyone for starting this thread and for mentioning this
It's like looking at those pictures that were around a few years ago. They made no sense until you stared at them for ages and then suddenly a picture would appear........
Now, I can see them all the time. _________________ Gee-Pee

I noticed these line on my 540 as well and now can't stop looking at them, glad there's nothing wrong with the unit. My POI's appear slightly blurred at the top of the screen and then come into sharp focus as they move down the screen I guess this is something to do with these lines and the 3D effect?

No I don't need glass to drive just yet, but maybe if I got a pair and wore them upside down the screen and POI's would look ok?
