Delete POI from TomTom Home

Sorry to post what is likely a really simple problem.

I have loaded lots of POIs onto a Tomtom 940 and then deleted some that I no longer needed by select Delete POI on the Tomtom, and checking that the OV2 and .BMP files had been removed.

TomTom Home still thinks these are installed on the device, this is stopping me re-adding a POI that I deleted by mistake.

Is there a way to delete these from TomTom Home..?

Good old Home!!

Have you tried doing this using Windows Explorer - delete, then copy and paste?

On TomTom HOME goto the Remove Items icon. You can then select:

items on device (or) items on computer

Make sure you backup before deleting them, you may need them again.

If you are running Windows Vista then all the items are in the TomTom folder which lives in the Documents folder.
