Hi Guys,

I have a TT One XL GB, bought in May this year & updated to v.720 UK & Irl map free (...eventually)! I'm being offered an upgrade to the "latest map" for £9.90 + £4.95 per quarterly updates (tot=£29.70). The problem is that I can't see what map version the update is offering. Rolling Eyes

My questions are;
1. will I get the 8.15 map (which is now available for the TT one) and subsequent updates, or will I get latter versions of the v.7 maps (if there are any!)?
2. will updates to v.9.xx maps when they are released (no doubt next year) be included?
3. would it be worth my while just buying the v.8.15 map for £39.9x?

Thanks.

On the latest map Guarantee, you will only be offered the v8 maps if you update to v8 software (or v7.900 SHOULD do it too), but I don't think this is the case with the Subscription service too.

The deal consists of two parts, an ammount to update you to the current latest map (price depends on the age of your present map), and then a price for the next four updates. There's nothing to say it WON'T cover v9 maps if they appear by then (I think there would be a riot if they were excluded!).

The general conscensus seems to be that the map update service is actually a very good deal.

Have you managed to update your maps through Home? I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to spend money with TomTom only for the software to fail at checkout...
Thanks

It failed to checkout on the first attempt, but the second time it went through fine! I now have map version 8.15 and a one year update sub. It could be a server problem, but make sure all of your details are correctly filled in.

Thanks again for the tip Andy. Smile

I'm currently in talks with TomTom, they say they were doing maintenance until last week, but it should be fine now, however when the nice chap on the phone tried to buy the maps with my login it didn't work at all.
Glad yours is working!!!
