Is / does RDS work(ing)? I was grid locked in traffic for 3 hours when the A1 and North Circular was closed last week. Not a squeek from the 720.....

That all depends on the traffic system receiving the info that there is a blockage. usually its not a tomtom issue, but more an itis (the company that broadcast the info) issue.

If you are talking about the incident last week on Monday morning in the rush hour where the A1 was closed from J2 on the M1 down to the A406, it was certainly picked up and reported on the systems. Perhaps you had poor reception in that area?

One thing we need to clarify here, is the tomtom receiving any traffic info at all or is it that the info about the accident hasn't reached the traffic centres?

There are two possible problems. Either that unit isn't receiving the rds-tmc traffic info, or that the unit is receiving all available traffic information but that the incidents are not being broadcast from the traffic centre.

Yes it was the problem last Monday A1 and A406 I had a solid green spot, but nothing diplayed about the incident.
