Dear All,
Some advise please, and appologies if this has been covered before. I seem to have two maps on my devise they are as follows

Western Europe V715.1703
UK & Irl V720.1803
Now when tomtom were offering the discounted new map updates, I only updated the UK maps. Am I right in thinking that I now have two UK and Ireland maps on my devise. If so is the latest UK map ( listed above ) the actual latest version, I am beginning to have doubts. Thanks for reading

Regards

Jeff

You have a UK & Ireland map and a Western Europe map which contains a UK map.

The latest map is v8.10, yours are v7 maps.

Neither maps are the latest for your device, the 720 should be running software version 8,010 and the latest map vesion is v810 so something is amiss here, have you recently updated the maps? - Mike

Darren / Mike,
Thanks for your replies, yes I am running version 8.10 software, I thought I had updated too version 8 of the UK maps. This is not so, a lesson learned by me. I have on the devise switched maps to Europe, run tomtom home and gone through the update maps process.
It now offers me western europe maps ver 8.1 for £59.70. my current western europe maps are 2 qtrs old.
If I switch maps on the devise to UK & Irl and then run tomtom home and update maps, it then offers me the following. Your map is 1 qtr old cost to upgrade to 8.1 is £34.75.

1 Which route would you choose.
2 Do I need the separate uk & Irl maps.

Thanks for your input
Regards
Jeff

Just check again before you decide.

You should be being offered package deals.

Update Western Europe map to v8.10 AND then get a years worth of map updates at no further cost, all for £59.70.

OR Update UK & Irl to v8.10 AND then get a year's worth of map updates at no further cost, all for £34.75.

Europe map previously has been sold stand alone for about £70, UK & Irl for about £40.

So both offers are very good deals - you get updated to latest map AND get the next 12 months worth of maps, all for less than the price of the one new map. You'll probably find it hard to find anybody who has turned down their individual deal offer - I took mine (different map, different price, same type of deal).

The UK & Irl are included in Western Europe, so if you take that offer, you can dump the UK & Irl map.

For an extra £25 you can get maps for all of Western Europe, in case you want to use them for trips abroad.

Save that £25 if you are satisfied you won't use the Europe map in the next twelve months.

Your choice, but either way it's a no brainer to take one of the offers.
