Hi all,
Sorry if this has already been mentioned. I did have a quick look to see but couldnt find anything.
Yesterday I subscribed, downloaded camera database and decided to go for a day out from Coventry to Skegness.
When approaching a speed camera the nuvi alerts me with a "boing" sound and the banner at the top of the screen goes red. This is all fine.
But then it continues to go "boing, boing boing boing" which started to gring on me after a while and I ended up turning the volume down to low.
Is there any way to change the alerts? Maybe 1 or 2 "boings maximum??
Thx in advance all..
Oh 1 more thing I noticed, There was afew alerts to cameras that were not there, the white paint marking were on the road but no cameras??
Thx all.. |

That's the over-speed warning telling you that you are still speeding.

Not really. You can play with the settings using Ash10s Camera Manager from here to shorten the warning distances.

They can be for units that stop on the bridges over motorways but if they are definitely camera-less then can you report them for removal here |

Try driving towards a 30MPH camera at 25 and 20MPH, does it give the bong, bong, bong overspeed warning?
Then try again with your speed below 19MPH and does it still bong, bong, bong?
If the above is true you have loaded the speed camera files with the POILoader application set to its default KPH rather than MPH setting - Mike |

Thx guys for your posts.
I'll check out whats been mentioned and see how things turn out.
The cams I mentioned on my travel to Skeggy had defo been removed and there was no bridges around just white paint markings with 65, 66 or some other numbers after the last white mark.
Sorry but I cant remember the location but it was on the A52 after Boston heading N/E.
If I go that way again soon Ill make a note.
Thx everyone. |
