I've added tomtom camera warnings (having previously deleted them). When I try a route demo the cameras are not showing up I appear to have three files for each countries warning which seems fine. What could I be doing wrong?

cheers

Ben

Make things a bit clearer first please, then we can start ....

What TomTom device are you using?

Have you added TomTom cameras and/or warnings?

OR have you added OUR cameras and/or warnings?

Just as a simple question, what speed are you doing the demo? It mustn't be too quick, best not more than 200%. If you were trying to get it done faster, try again at a slower speed.

My crystal ball says that the device is a 730 Laughing

With the TomTom Safety Cameras you have to set them by going to TomTom Services/ TomTom Safety Cameras/ Enable Alerts, to alter the warnings use the Change Warning Preferences - Mike

No it doesn't, sneaky! You searched him (it was past my bed time) and found he'd bought one and used LMG at the beginning of September.

My brand spanking new 730 (Sunday) had the TomTom cameras already working when I downloaded LMG and "Yippee, they at last have all the specs cameras on M4 at Reading and Membury" (which aren't there any more!). Embarassed

Interesting comment, DennisN.

I've got a support ticket open with TT because I've stopped getting warnings about SPECS cameras. Two near my home suddenly stopped producing warnings, while the road from Manchester to Sheffield also didn't warn me about the stretches of SPECS near Stocksbridge.

(Luckily I'm observant) Wink

I contacted support thinking that maybe the TT Safety Camera databases had been modified in some way, that requires 8.010 to use them fully. Or maybe I'd just had a one-off aborration.

Now you say your SPECS have disappeared? Is it just those you referred to, or all of them? Curiouser and curiouser...

Not a one-off at all, their service in respect of speed cameras is simply very poor.

Now if you'd chosen ours you wouldn't have the issue AND would have decent support!

GRRRRR! Old Fast Fingers Darren gets there before me. You've spoilt my morning Darren - you know how I love those. I don't suppose it's on for me to still have a dig at TomTom? In answer to your question, the TomTom Specs cameras HAVEN'T disappeared on my new toy, they squeek or bleep or whatever as they should. Except that those particular Specs cameras were taken down quite some time ago. I've run the TT cameras on the device for two days and it's enough to tell me (as usual) to disable them, rubbish! How many TomTom devices have I had? And they all come with the free cameras trials which are worth exactly that much.

Just this, perhaps?

prickly sort of fella aren't you -

yes it is a 730. IT is the TomTom cameras I have installed (I originally deleted them when I first got it).

Tried it out this morning and it warned me for the Tuevelo as I approched it (actually driving rather than Demo) but not the mobile near my house so no worries.

As for demo speed it was 100%

anyway sort of sorted now.

Eh? What? How? Question I asked for information necessary for us to offer comments and I did include the word "please". How come you categorise that as "prickly"???

I'm NOT - it's that Ben - he's a marshmallow. Next time, damned if I'll say please - If I'm going to be interpreted as prickly, I might as well sound it. Taunt

I'm going off to get Mostdom to find me a (frowning, grumpy) hedgehog smileycon.

Oh, that is pure rubbish!! I said HEDGEHOG. Now I can understand graphic licence, artistic licence and suchlike, but neither of those "things" looks even artistically like a hedgehog.

MUST TRY HARDER Stop it!
