TOMTOM GO910 Full Factory Restore

I am selling my TomTom GO910 and would like to remove all of my POI's and personal information. Is there an easy way to do a full factory restore to reset everything back to how it was when it was new?

Have you got a full back up of the device created using Windows Explorer from when it was new? if so just format the device and copy the backup to the device. If you have a TomTom Home created backup beware as this probably contains re-named files that render the TTS useless, a nice little surprise that TomTom Home used to do with the 910 devices.

If you don't have a backup you will have to remove the POI files using Windows Explorer OR use the Delete POI Category on the device itself.

To clear out Favourites etc connect the device to the PC and using Windows Explorer locate the MapSettings.cfg file, remove it then let the device boot up, it will create a new MapSettings.cfg file with nothing in it and your favourites will have gone - Mike
