TomTom 910

Ive just bought a used TomTom910 and it all works fine.
However, when plugged into the mains charger, the green front light illuminates but when its connected to the car charger, there is nothing to show its charging.
Should the green charge light be on when charging/running in the car please?

Yes. The green light shows that there is an external power supply.

Make sure that the 910 is sitting correctly on the mount. It should click into place.

Also ensure that the Adapter, and the co-ax plug, are pushed fully in to their sockets.

Check the fuse in the Cigarette Adapter. Then check the voltage at the co-ax plug that goes into the screen mount.

You can work out if its the mount that has failed or the car charger by bringing the car dock into the house and plugging the mains addapter into the power socket on the mount, with the 910 sat on the mount the light should come on, if it does your car charger is shot, if it doesn't the car mount is the probable cause - Mike

Many thanks, It needed pushing down quite hard before the light came on but its fine now.
