Up to 1000m! At 75m you'd have long since been nabbed if they were targeting you.

It's not unusual to be caught at 800m from a mobile camera van.

If you only spotted the van at 75m and you were speeding more than 10% +1 mph over the limit then you can only hope they were on a coffee break. Rolling Eyes

have mine at 800 except for the 30mph which is at 600. Brings up a lot of 'pings' using the 'warn when not on route' option, but hey - better safe than sorry. Rolling Eyes (I hope)

If it's a LASER gun then it's up to 1000 meters. If it's a mobile Gatso camera on a tripod then it's the same as for a fixed Gatso.

Although they are clearly visible, mobile camera units will check your speed long before you notice them and slow down. Confused

Wandering OT I know but is there such a beast? Mobile's are AFAIK always laser. The only other mobile's are the semi-permanent GATSO's mounted on trailers?

Darren,
certain camera partnerships use mobile mini-gatso cameras on tripods mounted at roadside with their van parked in close proiximity.
Other partnerships use these as opposed to their LTI 20:20 laser cameras after dark!
