Ipaq Upgrade & Tomtom2

I have an Ipaq 2210 and wish to do the new ROM update which will wipe everything I am told.

How can I save the favorates from Tomtom2?

Also is Tomtom 3 an update or a full re-install?

1) do a backup of the "my documents\tomtom navigator settings" folder - the favourites should be in there as well.

2) TomTom installs are always full installs (ignore what they tell you about upgrades) but normally you don't need to wipe the old version before.
