Hello,
Fiddling around with this wonderful bit of kit (TT920) I noted that my Guam and North America maps have all the POIs in them that I have added.
Now I have no idea if there are Argos' in Guam, and I am very unlikely to find out.
So my question to you people is are they there for a reason or can I just remove them?
One more thing, I have tried to update my maps to the latest versions through TT Home, it didn't work, spoke to Tomtom they got me to send a lot of screenshots and receipts off, but so far (touching wood as we speak) the Customer Service has said it will be resolved by tomorrow.
One last thing, is it just a case of putting your Audiobooks on an SD Card and inserting the card into the 920, it doesn't seem to work from the card, but does work beautifully from the machine.
Final thing, I have seen lots of whinges on lots of forums, but they are good bits of kit!!
Hi Carl,
Firstly you need to work out if your card is compatible with the device, many post will point you in the right direction.
If you delete the poi's from the maps you don't need it should be fine, what folder did you put them in? As long as you have them in the western europe folder they should work ok.
As for the map update, home is a lottery, sometimes it will give you what you want, many times it wont. If TomTom support are on the case, GOOD LUCK.

Audiobooks have to go in a folder called "audiobooks" (no quotes) on the SD card (just like the one on the internal memory).
Same with mp3s. they go in a folder called "mp3"
The original software that came on the Gox20 range had a bug where it looked for mp3s on the card but NOT audiobooks.
this was fixed in v7.210 software and above.
