Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me if there is a speed camera database available for the cd70 navigation system (navteq maps) fitted in the new 2007 vauxhall astras?
Many thanks

I have tried this system out a few times in hire cars late last year and unless they have made some major additions to the actual software there is no way you can put Custom POI files on the CD70.
Even if you managed to get them on it there is no Warning of POI's so the probably wouldn't show up either, it's a shame there is such limited capability with manufacturer fitted systems, the one plus point is the RDS-TMC fitted to the CD70 which works very well, but if you want speed camera warning I would look at another device to perform that function - Mike |

I've successfully added speed cameras to the Navteq map for BMW. Last time I looked, the Vauxhall Navteq map was the same as the BMW (High) map, so there's chance it might work for you.
However, even if the maps are the same, the BMW and Vauxhall navigation computers differ, so your best bet is to lurk on some Vauxhall owner forums to see what the Nav enthusiasts there are up to.
Good luck |
