I have the same issue;
Whenever I either remove and reinsert the SD card or connect to TT Home, all my speed camera warnings that are set to anything other than Bell 1 revert to Bell 1.
I have tried backing up and also copying the MapSettings.cfg file back to my SD Card, but the next time I start up TomTom they all revert to Bell 1.
Most annoying as I want to have a different warning for mobile camera locations!
I am running a TomTom One XL with a 2GB SD Card using TT Home 2.3 |

Do you have maps on both internal and removable memory? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi just on the 2Gb card, I don't think my XL has internal memory. |

We don't have the option to merge threads so I have hived it off into a separate thread. _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's quite useful if this happens to you EVERY time you connect to Home. Most people only get this very occasionally, so it is very hard to experiment!
What happens if you delete your existing MapSettings.cfg then set up an alert for JUST ONE of the built-in POI categories (i.e. the ones that came with the machine). Does that still re-set?
If it doesn't, try the same experiment with JUST ONE of your own added POIs (if you have any) that are NOT the speed cameras. (If you don't have any, just create one to try it out using "Add POI category" and "Add POI")
Finally try it again with just one speed camera category.
Your results might give us an insight into what is going on. |
