Hi, I've just returned from a trip to Koblenz, Germany, coming back via Nijmegan then Europort. The European database certainly works, but I'm sure there are potentially loads more camera locations than are actually recorded. Although I was warned about the few locations loaded onto my TTG, I passed several warning signs were nothing happened. I have just submitted one location in Germany where I actually saw the camera, but, as an example there is a busy intersection in Holland at the traffic light junction between the N271 & A67/E34 which has traffic light camera warning signs, but it was difficult to see if any cameras existed? Certainly a job for a good observer/navigator - not just SWMBO staring aimlessly out of the window...

Hi Westie,
It's sometimes quite hard to spot the cameras abroad. The french ones I've found to be quite obvious usually (and large) but the mobile ones tend to be farly well hidden until it's too late to slow down.
Like you, I saw loads of signs for cameras in Holland but didn't really see anything obvious, did I miss them ?...hopefully not. I noted there seem to be some post mounted ones higher up on the motorway and overhead ones (rear facing) on the overhead speed limit indications.
I sent Darren a photo of a French static camera a few weeks back, not sure if others could send in some photos of different foreign cameras, we could get a bit of a page together so we know what to look out for if overseas.
Cheers... Gav _________________ "A good scientist is a person with original ideas. A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible"
