Hi mrdeej, welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure what you really mean by map packs but the speed camera databases are simple.
First you need to pay your subscription. Once done you can then access the speed camera downloads section by clicking on the big yellow button on the left with the speed camera on it! From this page you can find the files for all satnav devices including your S50, and if you then scroll down the page to the table below you will find all the installation instructions for the various devices. There is an issue with the asc and csv file extensions for Navman devices but this is also covered in the instructions.
If by map packs you mean new maps because you only have maps for the uk then you need to check out the navman online shop or teleatlas online shop. PGPSW doesn't do maps! _________________ Dom

ive looked into subscriptions but on the compatability check there's this
Quote: | Yes
* S-Series has a 12,000 POI Limit. You cannot therefore use our Camera Database in it's entirety without exceeding this limit. S-Series owners can still use the database subject to ommitting the mobiles portion of the database or alternatively if using Navman's database you could supplement it by adding our mobile coverage (Navman do not have Mobile cameras). |
has me a little worried as im new to satnav? does this incorporate the whole s-series navman range ? [/quote] |

Unfortunately yes! However if you download the consolidated by type databases you can just about fit the bulk of the database on by omitting the redlight and pmobile databases. I have however read also that loading up the S series devices with camera data isn't without its problems and you will probably get a noticeable speed drop in it's functionings. This is one of the S series' biggest let downs for us Navman fans. _________________ Dom

I'm not 100% familiar with the S series but it sounds like you got the Navman speed camera database! The Navman product is different to the pgpsw database. It is also more expensive and doesn't have mobile camera locations. If I also remember correctly the s50 comes with only uk maps. if you wanted europe as well then you needed to buy the s70 or by a map upgrade from navman.
Yes you should have only bought the uk database for the s50, you should contact navman and have them change your subscription.
When you downloaded the sp2 update did it get installed onto the device? _________________ Dom
