help needed nuvi 300

hi im new to the forum so and just subcribed for the year
iv got a nuvi 300 and i installed the speed cameras , and its great , then i installed the pois and my nuvi 300 has crashed gets stuck when maps try to load

iv been silly did ot know cant install more then 257 i think

please can anyone help me to reset or reload the software not sure what to do

any help i would appricate

Ok, don't panic as this can be resolved. It may require a call to Garmin support but let's see where we are first!

If you connect your Nuvi to your PC, can you see it as a disk drive and browse it via Explorer?

i tried to connect it to computer , but it wont pick it up so no joy there
what shall i do next

Ah pity

In which case a call to Garmin UK support is the next step. They can send you a firmware flash utility which will resolve the issue.

hi again

phoned garmin told them i got a nuvi 300 and i over loaded the poi
and she send me a emial with the files , great i thought , and loaded them up and deleted the pois but in the system info of the nuvi it now says navi 310 and mine was the 300 and iv got no sound now

has garmin sent me the wrong file

because got no sound
plus this has bluetooth and my nuvi did not so must be wrong file

No problem, go here, download the web updater and allow it to update your Nuvi.

yes i did that and still got no sound at all and it says nuvi 310 intead of 300 not sure where my sound has gone hope you can help me with this

I'm afraid all I can suggest is a call to Garmin again. What was the file they sent you called?

hi it was called replacement software.rgn

everthing works well but no sound

Give them a call, we could bat ideas around here all evening but as it occurred after you installed their file it'll be easier to ask them.
