Recommendation for bluetooth GPS

I saw the review of the DConnex Bluetooth GPS and was wondering if you knew if the firmware was upgradeable. I have seen a couple of posts on eBay that seem to indicate that this unit uses flash memory and was upgradeable! I am looking for a unit to use as backup in an airplane and would like to be able to update the firmware if sirf corrects there NMEA MSL correction algorythm.

Do you have any recommendation for a reliable BT GPS to use in aviation?

Now that's a tricky one. You will most definitely want to get a receiver that supports terrestrial DGPS and WAAS/EGNOS. The latest Delorme Earthmate looks very promising in this area, and it also has a big, big log memory (50000 entries). Check out the Blue Logger review!

The DConnex 0103 is basically a rebadged GlobalSat which is capable of upgrading firmware, but I have never heard of any firmware being released to the public. DConnex do another BT GPS, but it's a rebadged Holux GR-230 which won't be firmware upgradable to the public.
