I have a ipaq 2490 which I hope to use with a globalstat bt 359. Is there some basic software which would allow me to use the ipaq to give me a OS grid ref to locate my position with a standard OS map. Also are multimap and a anquet maps interchangable ie can you use a anquet map on multipimap navigator or is there some converting software available. Would appreciate comments on all of the above thanks.

One application to consider is GPS Speed Sentry which can do far more than display the OSGB grid ref and it certainly won't break the bank, have a read of the review by clicking Here

You cannot "swap" map data between applications, if you have Memory Map then ONLY Memory Map will work with these files (on PC and / or PDA) - the same applies to the others where PDA support is offered.

Another cheaper option for electronic mapping for your PDA is QUO which uses electronic mapping for PC and PDA, its not as feature filled as the big players but it works quite well. What I do like is the option to purchase maps by tiles that only cost 99p each. You can read about Quo on their web site Here - Mike
