Downloading file, not ov2 and bmp

I downloaded from the POI database but the zip file contained one single file, not a ov2 file and a bmp file as it should.

What is the problem?

Can you tell us the steps you went through, and what the single file at the end was called?

It's difficult to know what you did, and to give a sensible answer, knowing so little. Please Wink

Sorry for the lack of information.

Here's what I did:

I went to this site: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=POIs

Selected TomTom (OV2),
Checked Ireland
Checked Recreation
Checked Golf club

Checked "Seperate files per subcategory"
Pressed download
Unzipped the downloaded zip file POIs.

The file that was unzipped is named Poi and is a file that the computer cannot recognize.

Hope that is clearer.

Do I maybe need a program that handles the ov2 and bmp files?

There is only one thing I can see wrong.

Under Ireland, there is no category for Recreation! Confused

When you Select a Country you have to De-Select any other Countries that are ticked. You then have to Click Refresh.

Selecting the Show Link Option very often cures the problem that you are experiencing.

Thank you, that solved the problem. I didn't press refresh after selecting the country.
