Hi
Just downloaded the latest speed cam database and uploaded to my 910. I had a previous version of the database and had followed all instructions to add voice warnings to each POI. I've just checked after uploading and it appears that there are no longer voice or other settings for each of the camera / speed types. Surely I dont need to do this every time - did I miss something ?

Have you installed a new map since? Are the .ogg warning files still present in the map folder?

Also, are you using the same camera set this time as before; Single, Consolidated or Zoned?

Beleive I used the same camera set as before zoned UK. There are no OGG files in the map section. I also noticed that the zip file name changed every time I downloaded the update. Even after a few seconds, the file name changed.

How can I tell if the vocal warnings have gone ? Should i see a loudspeaker icon next to the POI ?

Thanks

The download file name will change, this is an anti-piracy measure we implement. But if the .ogg files are not present in your map folder then you will have to re-install them.

only the zip file name will change - the individual POI file names will remain constant as long as you download the voice file set for the same type of database you are using.
As there are no ogg files in the map folder you have identified the problem, put a full set of ogg files into the map folder then go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI and setup each camera warning again, answer no when it asks to remove the warning, set a distance then answer Yes when it asks if this is the sound you want to hear (even though it doesan't play anything). Repeat the above for each camera category installed.
When a new database is released simply copy the ov2 files from the download to the map folder and that is the update completed, you do not have to mess around with configuring anything for an update - Mike
