I'd like to give a big Thumbs Up to Holux UK's technical support.

Within 29 mins of sending them an email technical question about my GM-270, I had received a very helpful answer.

For those of you, who like me, have been messing with the data output settings of the GM-270, the default values are GGA=1, GSA=1, GSV=5, RMC=1

I find it works best left in standard NMEA mode. I had a lot of trouble with losing sat locks using SiRF binary mode.

I have to say that you're not the first to comment on Holux having excellent support Smile They seem to have set the benchmark for how companies should treat their customer base.

It always amazes me that some companies treat customers so poorly, a happy customer will do as you have done and spread the word as well as being far more likely to return and place future business with them Thumbs Up

Being new to GPS and having used a road angel for about 5 months I decided it was time to get some sat nav software working on my Ipaq. Having bought the adapter cable from Holux I was unable to get it working immediately but during the space of 2 hours between 3.00pm - 5.00pm I emailed then a total of 3 times and each time they suggested another thing to try and by 5.00pm everthing was working.

a BIG thank you to the support team at Holux Thumbs Up
